Rules
4-Person Ambrose
- Every player tees off.
- The team elects the best drive, then everyone plays their second shot from within one club length of the elected ball, no nearer the hole. Balls may be placed.
- The club length must not be used to escape rough, a penalty area (hazard) or a bunker — if the elected ball is in a bunker, everyone plays from the bunker.
- Repeat for subsequent shots until the ball is holed, electing the best shot each time.
- The same rules apply on the green, except balls must be placed within a putter-head length of the elected ball, no nearer the hole. Self-evidently (we hope), that does not extend to nudging the ball into the cup.
- Each player must contribute at least three tee shots across the 18 holes.
- Each team records a GROSS score and hands the card to the scorer at close of play. The scorer works out the NET score based on handicaps and number of players.
- Team prizes are awarded on NET scores.
- Additional prizes for birdies on the 18th and more.
- Prizes also for the worst shot of the day and the best photo caption — video or camera evidence preferred, otherwise it’s up to the best storyteller…
